About the Business
SHOTO is the SHOtokan Traditional Karate Organisation (UK) founded by Hanshi Mick Randall MBE, 9th Dan in 1996. It is an association of about ten traditional karate clubs in North London offering traditional Shotokan karate classes and is registered with the English Karate Federation (EKF).

Hanshi Mick Randall MBE started training under Master Hirokazu Kanazawa in 1964 and was one of the original founders of the Karate Union of Great Britain (KUGB) in 1966, of Shotokan Karate International (SKI) in 1971, the English Shotokan Karate Association (ESKA) in 1978 and the Shotokan Karate Association (SKA) in 1984.

Children’s Classes

Children’s and Junior’s Lessons:

SHOTO run regular lessons for children and juniors at a number of different locations. These are run separately from adult classes and are tailored to the specific requirements of younger people.

Who are the teachers?

Lessons for children and juniors are taught by experienced Black Belts with extensive Karate and teaching experience. Additionally, all instructors are fully insured and are endorsed by the English Karate Governing Body.

What children will learn.

Children benefit significantly from Karate training and in particular will benefit in the following ways:
