Koa Shotokan Karate Club Aberdeen is a family run club specialising in traditional Shotokan karate. We train students from all ages and all abilities in our sprung wooden floor Dojo and offerconvenient secure off-street parking. We offer grass roots instruction and a basic foundation, building towards advanced technical tuition.
The Grampian and Northern Karate Association (GNKA) was formed in 1985 by Sensei Brian Bothwell 6th Dan. The GNKA was set up to cover the whole spectrum of our martial art and to further develop anunderstanding administration that listens to the needs of all the many aspects of Karate from Sport to Traditional, from the youngest beginner to the most senior instructor. We are directly affiliated to, and governed by, the Scottish Karate Governing Body (SKGB).
A Brand New Unique Combat Sport, blending arts of Stand Up martial arts like Kickboxing and Ground Sports such as Submission and Grappling. Competing is NOT obligatory and contact is kept Light forall ages. Tuition fees vary according to amount of sessions you may require, please bear this in mind when contacting us regarding costs of tuition!
There are two Aikido Dojo in Aberdeen which are part of the same group and both are members of the Aikido for Daily Life organisation which is a full member of The British Aikido Board. The AberdeenCity Aikido Club's main training venue is St. Stephen's church hall on Powis place.
