The Bedfordshire Dal Poon Tang Soo Do Academy is part of the European Tang Soo Do Federation (ETSDF). The ETSDF teaches one of the oldest martial arts. Tang Soo Do is a traditional Korean martial artbased on the ancient Korean kicking style of Tae Kyun, and the soft, flowing movements from the Chinese Martial Arts systems. Whilst Tang Soo Do has the rituals and discipline of a traditional martial art it equips every student with effective modern self defense knowledge, techniques and capabilities.
I am a qualified International Instructor and examiner and obtained my V degree black belt in March 2009. I have also had an enhanced CRB check. I started the Shefford Taekwon-Do School in 2003 andthe club has gone from strength to strength with now just under 40 students.

We are a Kung Fu school based in Biggleswade Bedfordshire. Sung Chuan is a broad based martial arts system incorporating Shaolin Kung Fu and Chinese kick boxing. The training also emphasises theinternal aspects of the art and includes Chi Kung breathing exercises and Tai Chi. The training occurs in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere but respect and traditional etiquette is also maintained.

Kaisho Ju-Jitsu Ryu was founded in November 2007 with the aim of providing a realistic and street smart way for all ages to defend themselves in today's world. The techniques that we teach are acombination of Ju-Jitsu, Karate and Kickboxing. This combination provides an all-round self defence ability that can be used in many situations. The martial arts that we teach are not sports, because in a real world scenario there are no rules, and people do not fight fairly.

Our club teaches International Atemi Ju Jitsu which involves all aspects of Ju Jitsu. Throws, take downs, grappling, sparring, hold down techniques, various kicking and punching combinations are allincluded in our syllabus. A class begins with a gentle warm up, rotating the neck, shoulders etc right through to the feet. Next we'll jog on the spot to rise the heart rate and warm up all our muscles.
Sensei Jo I took up martial arts after a friend was attacked. The club has a diverse range of students age 5 upwards, all fitness levels all achieving personal goals throughout their time with theclub. Ken: I never thought I would go far in competing. Never even thought I would step onto the mat. So to walk away with a national title is unbelievable. I wouldn't have accomplished this without Sensei Jo. The dedication that she brings to each lesson and the encouragement given is infectious.

Sensei Hume began his training in the martial arts at just 6 years of age, studying 'Tora Kai Karate' under the instruction of his Uncle Master Lee Nash 5th Dan and his Grandfather Master Jeff Nash6th Dan. Master Nash Snr was a direct student of the highest ranked Shotokan Karate Master in the world Kancho Hirokazu Kanazawa 10th Dan. And a direct student of Master Keinsuke Enoeda 9th Dan who was one of the pioneers of British Karate is the 1950's.
